AI on a Roll?
A Collaborative Workshop Introducing AI Through Dice, Data, and Discovery
AI on a Roll is a practical, interactive workshop developed by InfoNexus to introduce foundational AI concepts to students and teachers in public schools, starting with emerging metropolitan areas.
Using a tool as simple and familiar as dice, the workshop will draw from existing curriculum areas like Mathematics, Science, and Civic Education to explore core AI ideas: prediction, data, pattern recognition, and fairness, without the need for advanced technology or internet access.
The current rollout of AI on a Roll is being delivered in selected schools with support from AMA Foundation as the funding and impact partner.
Why It Matters
As AI continues to reshape the world, students and teachers in underrepresented or low-tech environments risk being left behind. AI on a Roll is designed to change that—by making AI literacy accessible, curriculum-relevant, and engaging, even without digital infrastructure. The programme ensures that:
- Students connect everyday concepts like probability and data to how AI works
- Teachers are equipped with offline tools to introduce and explore AI
- Critical topics such as bias, fairness, and ethical decision-making are taught in simple, age-appropriate ways
Programme Goals

Programme Design
- Participants: 100 students (JS1–SS3) and 20 teachers
- Format: One-day interactive workshop + Day 2 stakeholder roundtable
- Materials: Dice sets, printed workbooks, branded learning tools
- Facilitators: InfoNexus-trained educators
- Approach: Low-tech, inquiry-driven, and aligned with core subjects
Next Steps
InfoNexus is currently engaging with schools and education stakeholders to:
- Confirm participating schools and align with current schemes of work
- Coordinate delivery and logistics for the workshop
- Host a multi-stakeholder roundtable (Day 2) to reflect, share feedback, and explore opportunities for scale-up
